And thankfully, Caroline is finally over her cold. It seemed like it would never end! Between juggling our jobs and tending our own little germ factory, we were sure we would both end up sick too. Luckily, we seem to have avoided it.

WISH US BON VOYAGE!
Zach and I are finally going to take the trip we've always dreamed about. When Zach and I met we talked about traveling to exotic locations around the world. But then we decided to get married and then after Caroline was born and for the last 10 years parenting responsibilities kept us tied pretty close to home.

Then last night Zach came home from work and told me that he got a promotion and bonus for all of his hard work. So we've decided to finally take the trip of our dreams, just the two of us. I am so excited!

Booking the trip was super easy! We used our computer and with just a few clicks we settled on this:

Three Lakes
Our first stop will be this mountain getaway. We'll be camping in the forest, surrounded by nature-the perfect start to our break from our typical routine of work and family responsibilities!

Twikkii Island
Then we jet off to the tropics for some fun in the sun. Since this is the trip of a lifetime for us, we decided to splurge and stay in a gorgeous resort on the beach. Zach is excited about exploring ancient ruins, but I want to just sunbathe on the beach-though I might tear myself away long enough to get a massage and relax in the sauna!

Takemizu Village
Zach has always dreamed of visiting the Far East, so this will be the grand finale of our trip. We're really looking forward to experiencing the unique culture and sampling all the local foods. We're hoping that we'll have enough time to do the Bamboo Forest tour during our stay.

The only other thing we needed to do was find someone to take care of Caroline (we decided we didn't want her to miss this much school) and our cat, Scout, while we're away. Our neighbor, Cassandra Goth, told us about this great nanny and we've already hired her for the duration. Well, that's it. It was easier than we thought.

Oops, gotta run-our taxi is here to take us to the airport! Next time you hear from me will be from our first stop in Three Lakes!
