The Sims™ 2 Bon Voyage Blog
Learning the Far East Culture
Sophie was really missing Caroline and was glad to go home for a few days before heading East. (She's doing great and was happy to see us, but I think she's enjoying her vacation from us as much as we're enjoying our travels!)
After another taxi back to the airport and a non-stop flight, we arrived this morning at beautiful Takemizu Village. It's so peaceful here and the people are so friendly that we felt right at home immediately.
We looked around town and decided to stay at The Flaming Dragon Hotel, which has its own Zen garden in the courtyard. I spent some quiet time raking it this morning while Sophie engaged in her passion-shopping. She came back with a kimono for each of us, a doll for Caroline, and even some new jewelry.
This afternoon we visited the Takemizu Village Hot Springs and enjoyed a long soak. We met a few folks from the village there who taught us how to bow in the local tradition.
It confused Sophie a bit at first, but she's picked it up and now uses it to greet the other guests at our hotel.
Good night for now. We're off on a riverboat tour tomorrow-wish us luck!
