A Day In The Life of A Nature Lover
Today I woke up early. The sun was shining and the birds were chirping and I immediately thought, "What a great day!"
After a bowl of cereal and a shower, I went outside to see if I could spot any feathered friends-and boy, did I! I felt like an air traffic controller with so many different kinds of birds passing overhead. I almost had a hard time keeping track of what I saw. After about an hour of observing the aerial spectacle, I went back inside and blogged about it before going to work.
When I got home from work, I did a bit of quick cleaning around the house and then went for hike. I had a terrific time, enjoying the fresh air, but unfortunately I stumbled into a patch of poison ivy and am paying a very itchy price now!
This evening I had dinner with the family and then admired my bug collection. I have 26 specimens now and only need to find two more butterflies to complete my set. I remember when I first started-I never thought I'd have as many as some of the other guys at Peerless Park.
Well, it's been a terrific day, but I'm off to bed now. Tomorrow I am going to Peerless Park to meet up with some of my fellow nature lovers. I can hardly wait to see what nature has in store for me tomorrow!
