SimMaster of the Month: July 2005

Get to know the site moderators! The Sims 2 community is large and growing. We have some fabulous moderators on the site who help other simmers in need, keep things running smoothly, moderate the boards, and help enforce the rules that Maxis has set up. Our SimMasters are players just like you. Each month we'll be asking one of our SimMasters some questions so you can get to know them better.

This month we talk to July's SimMaster of the month, the coolheaded and insightful SimMasterAnubis!

Hi there SimMasterAnubis. How long have you been a SimMaster?
Since September of last year, so 10 months.

What is your favorite part of the Sims 2?
That's hard to say. I like so much of it. Some days I want to spend my time building houses. I love "shopping" for my Sims, so that's a big thing. But I also like playing with my families. I have a whole neighborhood I've built from scratch starting with SC4 (with it's own University, also started using SC4, although I've used some of the Maxis houses in that, although I always remodel them to my specifications.) There are 26 families, although I only play 10 of them regularly.

What is your favorite thing about being a SimMaster?
Getting to meet so many Simmers that I might not have had the chance to do otherwise.

What is one thing you've learned from being a SimMaster?
When you start feeling "toasty," it's ok to take a break from SimMastering. I have to thank SMLisa, SMMoira and SMKat for teaching me that it's ok to go actually play the game.

Goopy or Bella?
Ahhhhh, run away!!! (I don't have any townies in my neighborhoods anymore. So no Goopy or Bella for me.) I don't even read those posts unless they get flagged.

Any advice or tips for your fellow Simmers?
Hmmm. Follow the rules so that everyone has more fun. Save frequently and do a disc defragmentation on a regular basis. Don't try to have 32 Sims in college at one time. But most of all, have fun with the game! That's really what this is all about.
