The Sims 2 Student Life Contest with USC School of Cinema-Television
We recently conducted The Sims 2 Student Live Movie Contest with USC School of Cinema-Television. The participants were challenged to create a film about a Day in the Life of a Student with The Sims 2 and/or The Sims 2 University Expansion Pack for the possible chance to win $5,000 or a four week position as a Maxis Associate Intern. We received hundreds of submissions, sifted thru them, and a panel of Judges from the USC School of Cinema-Television selected our winners.

And the Winners are...
Best Film
Everyday by Limbo1n Limbo1n's "Everyday" is the Grand Prize Winner for Best Overall Film and will receive either $5000 or a four-week Maxis Associate position. The USC School of Cinema-Television chose it as the best film because of the original way the whole piece hung together. The camera work was solid, the sets were well designed, and The Sims were used creatively. Amazing work!

Best Drama, Runner up Best Film
Day in the Life by Aprylhalbrooks14 The Judges loved the concept of Aprylhalbrooks14's film and thus awarded it the 2nd Place Prize Winner for Best Overall Film and Best Drama. She will receive an Nvidia powered PC (excluding monitor) and an Nvidia 3D videocard. They judges were impressed with the use of sound, cinematography, and character development in this film.

Waking Up by Decorgal21572Decorgal21572's film, "Waking Up" won the USC judges over with its original idea and superlative comedic timing. The film has an interesting finish and strong art direction. Because of her efforts, Decorgal won Best Comedy and will receive an Nvidia 3D videocard.

Best Documentary
Changes by Greencutie99
What moved our judges the most about GreenCutie99's film was the interesting presentation of the idea "who are we and what are we willing to change". The creative framing helped to move the story along. The judges awarded "Changes" the best documentary award and GreenCutie99 will receive an Nvidia 3D videocard.
