Start by making a 9x9 square foundation like this

Note: if you don't have the "easy walls" hack from mikeinside's site

http://www.mikeinside.illusionfxnet.com/sims2/hacks/walls.html

this tutorial will not work. SRY. :(
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Then build a wall all of the way around the foundation
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Add two 1x1 square foundations in these spots relative to the house.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Add two 1x1 rooms around the foundations.

Then add any connecting stair in this spot on the lot.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Add these next two connecting stairs to the left and right of the first connecting stairs.

After you have done this you have to put in the cheat

boolprop constrainfloorelevation false

then go on to the next step!
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

add two more connecting stairs where it is shown and on the other side in the same but opposite spot of the first one.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

now page down to this view and add any tile at the bottom of the last connecting stair and inside the 1x1 foundation. Do this on both sides.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

You should end up with this.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Next, add tiles on top of the 1x1 square foundations to make the house walls drop.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Now add two more tiles diagonal as shown to be able to put in your first landing area
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Put in your landing areas in these spots (they should be 2x2 areas, but you can put in your desired type of tile, then add connecting stairs). ATTENTION!! in order to save trouble along the road don't put in the connecting stairs where this one is shown to be, put it one spot closer to your computer screen up against the wall. You may notice I put in the stairs on both spots... so I had to delete the one that is closer into the house later on. And remember to put the stairs on both landing areas, including the one that is far away in this snapshot.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Once you have completed the first landings put another foundation up against the wall like this. I forgot to show the wall so add a 1x1 room above this new foundation.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Did you add the wall above the new foundation, because if you didn't, then do that now.

Next drag a floortile from the BOTTOM of the first connecting stairs to the block inside the 1x1 foundation.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

This should bring down the foundation and part of the house wall.

Next just add a floortile on top of the 1x1 new foundation...
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

... And it should give you three spaces to put floortiles inside the house.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Add your desired type of floor to the six squares shown, and it will bring up the first landing tiles, but don't worry!
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Now just click a floortile next to the deformed tiles and they will be brought back to normal.

IF you've gotten this far be proud of yourself.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

First add floortiles on top of your building where all of the clear tile squares appear. Don't add more floortiles when more blank tiles appear we will do that in the next couple of steps.

Notice I accidentally added those first landing stairs in toward the house earyier in the tutorial, if you did wat i did, delete them now, then add your next set of connecting stairs as shown in the two spots.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Now add the stairs on this side of the house.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Add your desired floortiles on the next row of blank tiles on the top (they are shown in the light wood color) in front of the floortiles you put in in the last couple steps and...
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Youre lower landings will do this, but don't worry again we can flatten those out by just clicking a floortile next to the destorted ones and they will go back to normal.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Now add your last landing steps, like this.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Just hang in there your doing fine. Anyway you will end up with this.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Add a wall as shown all the way from the FRONT of the big foundation to the BACK, you must do it from front to back.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Do the same thing on the other side, notice your floors will get demented, but we can fix that.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

When the floors are demented, just add floortiles next to all of the demented ones and they will return to normal, but the lower landings will become distorted again. Just flatten them out like above. ATTENTION: do not flatten the demented tile on the second from the top landing.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Do the same thing as before only on this side.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Now flatten out these two demented tiles.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

On both sides your inside tiles will become demented, like this, so just click a tile next to the demented ones and they will flatten out again.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Good job, only 13 more easy steps to go. (mostly flattening demented tiles.) This picture just shows the aftermath of the last step.

ATTENTION: you must add a back wall which is in the upper right corner of the pic. It will connect to the two side walls.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

You can barely see it (sry) but add a wall along the front of the house connecting with the fronts of the two uppermost walls we made on the side.

When the front wall is made the tiles will become demented (again), so just flatten them out by clicking on the tiles next to them with another tile.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

This is a better veiw of the wall you just created, but as you can see the tiles above the uppermost connecting stairs have been distorted, so you get the idea, just flatten them out by clicking on the tiles next to them with another tile.

NOTE: you should have a back wall on even though it's not shown here.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

You will end up with this

NOTE: you should have a back wall on even though it's not shown here.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Now go up a floor and add tiles all within the walls below even the ones that are lower than the main bunch of tiles.

NOTE: the back wall is on like it should be.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

You will get this, and now just fill in the missing tiles.

ATTENTION: you must take off the cheat you put in, on what seemed like hours ago, so type in

boolprop constrainfloorelevation true then go on to the next step.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Now we have to just delete all of the 1x1 rooms and foundations, and the connecting stairs on the outside, alond with the floortiles on the outside.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

You will have to put that cheat back on so type in:

boolprop constrainfloorelevation false

Next level out the whole lot in order to flatten the ground in front of the house
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

When you level the lot the house will do this, and the floortiles will once again become demented, so flatten them out.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

And you end up with this, also you'll notice the other tiles at the top have been, well you guessed it demented again so flatten those out too.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Now go to the floor that shows the bare foundation and drag a tile across the whole room. Notice three tiles will not change, because they were demented, so now just fill in those tiles.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

This will again bring the floor down so click them again.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Now it will flatten these tiles again, so flatten those too.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Go up to the top story and flatten out the demented tiles on the very top.
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

You may want to add a roof and make the house a little bit more interesting
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

This is a view of the house I made off of my tutorial, it is up for downloading in my uploaded houses
Created: 02.12.2005 Updated: 02.12.2005

Here is a roof view of the house I built. Notice there is only one window on the front upper story. You can't fix that otherwise there will just be an outline of a door or window there because the walls are not parallel to the ground. If this tutorial didn't work or you had problems with it contact me and I will try to get back.
