Meadow Lawns has three land masses each with a very different character.

Willow Lane meanders along one of the islands lined with small, rural bungalows. A lot of elderly people have lived here all their lives and it's a peaceful place. It's also a cheap place to live and one or two younger couples and families have recently moved in. Let's meet some of the residents.....

Father and Son, Derick and Gregory have just moved into one of the little riverside bungalows. Along the Lane are widowed Werner Schmidt and his children and the newly wed couple Isabel and Vincent Jankowicz.

These terraced houses in Jubilee Court are intended for multiple occupancy. Many houses are vacant and the others are occupied by elderly sims who find the upkeep of the large gardens a problem.

The elderly sims expect to be buried in Willow Church which is one of the small community lots in the area. Meadow Lawns has a farmers' market, a health spa, a small club, a park, a bar and two all purpose shops.

The marshy isthmus connecting the islands to the mainland is the site of a major scientific discovery and the army has set up a secret camp to investigate. The influx of sims and money has led to a property boom and a lot of businesses have sprung up on reclaimed swamp land.

The army base is expanding as the new commander spends freely to get the facilities he needs for his men.

A row of prefabricated camp houses provides temporary accomodation for visitors to the base opposite. At the moment, one is occupied by retired general Sarah Branigan, another is occupied by the base commander's wife and two have been rented out to Sims with very little cash.

Sarah retired from the army which cost her her friends and family. She'll need to move out of her army camp house soon and find a new direction for her life.

The local bar is owned by Adam Jackman, who saw a golden opportunity to make his fortune in Meadow Lawns. He's been known to do a few under the counter deals in his bar and bought a lorry load of blue paint one evening which he is still using up.

Jack's bar is a bit on the dingy side despite the soccer pennants and Christmas decorations. Popular with the locals, but not likely to become "the place to be seen."

Adam sells bric-a-brac in a car-boot style businesses - Most of his capital is tied up in real estate. He also owns a park and a 24-7 night shop.

Eve owns a small spa as well as the clothing stall and has added a hairdressing business to her portfolio. Unfortunately she can't afford to build a proper salon and can't find a decent stylist to hire.

Adam's son George learns from his parents experience and sets up more upmarket businesses. 'Jack's hillside resort' is a playground for the wealthy who love to eat on the hillside terrace and soak in the hottub at the top of the hill. It is popular and it makes a lot of money.
