Hello! My name is Maria, today I will show yuo how to make a lovely house, with an arched bridge and bunkbeds! First, we'll start on the backyard.

I want a bridge in my back yard, but not just ANY bridge. An arched bridge. Now, first, using the foundation tool, build the size you want your bridge. Just a small retangle or square. Remember, the longer you make the bridge, the higher the arch will be.

| |

Then, delete the middle of it.
|
| |
Created: 11.18.2007 - Updated: 11.18.2007
Fill the empty space with your choice of floor tiles, like so.
|
| |

Then, delete a row of squares on either side of the tiles, so it looks like the letter I.
|

Add stairs and railings. Now, for the fun part: Arching it!

Press CTRL+Shift+C. In the white box that appears in the top of the screen, type in "boolprop constrainfloorelevation false" without the quotes. Then, on either side underneath the bridge, raise the terrain by one click, like this.

Then, level the terrain...
|
| |
Created: 11.18.2007 - Updated: 11.18.2007
So it's all one click high!
|
| |
Created: 11.18.2007 - Updated: 11.18.2007
Then repeat these steps until you get to the middle, like i have done here.
|
| |

And your bridge is arched! Now, turn off the cheat by typing in "boolprop constrainfloorelevation true" without the quotes. and remember, if you don't turn the cheat off, then your bridge will be flat again when you level the terrain!

Level the terrain...

And if you turned the cheat off, it will still be arched.

And, it wouldn't be a bridge without a river, wouldn't it?

OK, now we can start on the house! But first, my sister will move in with me soon, so, I'll need a bunkbed in the bedroom. First, rain the terrain by four clicks.

From the top of the terrain you just raised, build this shape with the foundation tool.

add stiars and railings, but don't put railings in the front, because that's where the bed will go!

Before we move onto the next step, build a room around your soon-to-be-bunkbed.

Now, we add the beds. First, place a bed down here...
|
| |
Created: 11.18.2007 - Updated: 11.18.2007
Then, type CTRL+Shift+c again, but this time type in moveobjects on. Place the same bed on top of the other bed. Then turn the cheat off by typing in moveobjects off.

Then, if you still have room, you can decorate it a bit out here. The chairs i have placed are downloadable off the object exchange. Thank you for reading and I hope these steps can help you create your dream home!
