Here is Mount Vernon, the 8000 acre home of the first president of the United States, George Washington. Here he fished, grew vegatables, and brewed beer. He had many rooms to entertain guests and family.

Here is the back view of the house with excellent views of the Potomack River as they called it in his time. You can see the family sitting on the porch but we will be introduced to them in a little while. Back to the house.

Here is the main house. It has at least 12 rooms. A large and small dining room, two parlours, study, main suite and many bedrooms.

Here is the crows nest. It has a ladder leadingup into it. George Washington described in his journal about a storm that blew all of the windows out of it. This is probably one of the most distinctive parts of the house.

Here is a wonderful view of the front lawn. Plenty of room for a few carriages to come through since they have many guests.
