Dina and Nina Caliente severed their relationship over Dina's harsh decision to terminate her child for fear it was not created through her marriage to Mortimer Goth but through a fling with Ed Wilson. However, she couldn't go through with the abortion and saw Ed one last time to try and convince herself he was only good for passion; it was with Mortimer where her future began.
Nina, busy with her own pregnancy, wasn't aware Dina had kept her baby. Before any attempt could be made to repair their relationship, she fell down the stairs and miscarried, the fall leaving her with a low chance of conceiving naturally. Nina shut down her emotions and broke off her engagement with Don Lothario.
Alex Goth was meanwhile enjoying a new friendship with David Asher, a boy with which he shared his secret with and ultimately fell for. Despite still being bruised from previous events, this time his advances were welcomed and David asked Alex out on his first date, which came to an end all to quickly...

EPISODE SEVEN by Thomas McNab Chapter One: "Your Call!" Chapter Two: "Lingering Thoughts" Chapter Three: "...Back For More" Chapter Four: "I'm Out!" Chapter Five: "Family Manners" Epilogue: "The Uninvited"
*
Chapter One: Your Call! Dina grimaced as her unborn baby kicked her from the inside. Somehow, beyond the layers of tissue that protected it, it knew, as did Dina, that trouble was brewing. For the past few days, Dina thought her life could return to normal; that was before she found out her husband had lied and had kept his heart attack a secret from her. Mortimer and Dina didn't have the strongest of relationships, but Dina always attributed this to the fact she had betrayed him so early on in their marriage by sleeping with another man... getting pregnant by him... and then lying to both him and Mortimer! She wasn't going to let that bother her anymore now though; she had moved on and made a promise to reform herself now she was pregnant.

She had already took a step in the right direction when she gently confronted Mortimer's son, Alexander, about his sexuality. For a while now Dina had suspected he was gay. And last night, after coming home from his first date with a boy, he had admitted it to Dina when she enquired. Hoping she had gained the trust of Alex, she confessed to him that his father had suffered a suspected heart attack. Her aim was to force herself into an unbreakable bond with this family, since her other one had crumbled so effortlessly. Her fear was Mortimer had some residual doubts about Dina and their marriage, and she was trying her hardest to reassure him they were unnecessary. But it seemed, flipping back the pages of the calendar. it wasn't to be. Dina scowled under her breath as she began calling Mortimer's name. But a distant ringing caught her attention and she decided to put her next confrontation with the Goth's on hold for now.

Despite her hard work, Dina wasn't actually in love with Mortimer. Yet she had sacrificed a lot to stay with him and wanted now to be the time when she settled down to start a family. Yes, she had feelings for him and she cared for him, but she'd stopped loving him a long time ago. Dina didn't feel she was being dishonest, but she did reckon that if anything bad were to happen to her husband she would carry a lot of guilt knowing that she did nothing to help. But these feelings of doubt she now had about her marriage were rudely shoved out of her mind as she answered the phone and heard Don Lothario bellowing back at her.

"Where in the hell is Nina?!" Don asked, as he continued to ramble on and explain how he had casually walked past Nina's house, not intending to see her at all (which Dina easily read as being a lie), when he couldn't help but notice the commotion going on outside. "Some gruff guy wearing a vest told me that he's been contracted to do some renovations whilst Nina's away."

"Nina wasn't there?" Dina asked, almost sounding as shocked as Don had. "She's gone away somewhere, but the jackass wouldn't tell me where." Don seemed to pout as he talked. "Well, you two did break-up; technically, it's none of your business." Dina pointed out. "I figured since it appears everyone else knows our business they might know something I don't." Don said, sarcastically commenting on the fact Dina knew of their break-up despite not being on good terms with her sister. "I take it you two still aren't talking to each other." "We're just... having a break from each other. We've spent almost our whole lives together, a few months apart won't hurt us." Dina defended.

"I wasn't judging you, Dina." Don felt Dina was getting hostile, and he needed to be on her good side if he was to succeed in finding out where Nina was. "Too right, I mean, I haven't seen you in ages but it's not that weird." Dina offered. "Given my work load at the moment, it's not weird at all." Don said, eyeing the two-week-old pizza crust laying on his kitchen countertop. "What's that supposed to mean?" Dina queried. "Oh... never mind. So can you tell me anything?"
|

"I know as much as you, Don." Dina said. "You can't think of anywhere she might have gone to? A friends house, perhaps?" Don persued. "Well, we didn't have very many mutual friends, but you could always try asking Brandi Broke." "Great! Thanks, bye." Don said hastily before Dina halted Don. "Whoa, wait. Did you ever think maybe the reason nobody knows where she is is because she didn't want anybody to know?" "I don't understand what you're saying." Don simply said.

"It sounds to me like Nina's moving on. Maybe you should do the same." Dina gently broke the truth to Don. "We lost our child. How do you suggest I move on?" Don shot back at Dina bitterly before defending her claim. "No; she needs me. I don't want to Nina to end up ruining her life because I wasn't there for her when she needed me." "But she doesn't need you, Don." Dina retorted. "How the hell do you know what she needs? Maybe the only reason you're telling me to move on is because you figure you can swoop down and get back into Nina's good books whilst I'm neglecting her." Don shot back at Dina, ignoring any plans he had had to get on her good side.
|

"I'd hardly say you were neglecting her! If anything it seems like the reason you two broke up was because you were being too over-bearing. And now you want to go running after her? It's clear what she's doing; she's trying to remove all traces of you from her life, and get as far away as possible. If you go and find her right now you'll only risk damaging things even more." Dina said in a matter-of-fact tone. She listened to the receiver for any signs her harsh rant had gotten through to Don and finally, after a few seconds, he sighed.

"If that is the case, then it sounds like I can't screw things up worse than they already are. I've got nothing to lose anymore." Dina heard a click and called Don's name repeatedly but it was too late, the only thing echoing out of her phone now was a monotonous, pre-recorded voice telling Dina to hang-up.

Angered by this and what she had discovered on the calendar earlier, Dina gave an almighty bellow and yelled Mortimer's name as she marched back into the kitchen.

Dina called out to Mortimer again and after a moment he appeared in front of her, walking with a confident swagger before stopping and holding out his hands. "What did I do now?" He asked.

"Oh don't give me that, you knew perfectly well that I'd be checking up on you this morning." Dina scowled again as she supported her weight and leaned on the dining room chair.

"I'm still in the dark as to what it is I'm supposed to have done." Mortimer mused with a slight grin. "Do you think this is funny, you almost dying like that?" Dina asked in a stern tone as Mortimer rolled his eyes.

Dina stood up straight and launched at Mortimer with all her rage, "You went and whitened-out your doctor's appointment." Dina pointed with force towards the calendar. "I got a call from his receptionist yesterday telling me he had to move it to next Tuesday." Mortimer lied. "Like he-" Dina cried as Mortimer interrupted her. Since Dina had foolishly told Mortimer that the baby had been moving a lot, he had put a stop to Dina's cursing in order to prepare for its arrival. She rolled her eyes and continued.

"Like heck! What's to stop me from calling up the doctor's office and finding out what I already know to be a lie?" Dina said in a matter-of-fact tone. Suddenly coming up with an alternative strategy, Dina put a hand on her baby-bump. "Do you have any idea what this stress is doing to me? I was awake half the night trying to listen to see if you were still breathing!" Dina lied.
|

"Oh stop being so over-dramatic, Dina. I'm going to my doctor's appointment, of course I am." Mortimer gave in. "I just like to have a little fun with you sometimes." "Fun?! Oh I'm glad my worrying amuses you." Dina said sarcastically. "Dina, calm down, Go chill out by the pool! I'll catch a taxi to my appointment and go alone," Dina was about to protest before Mortimer stopped her, "and you can go to Beautique and get your hair styled - on me!" Mortimer's sudden charm begrudgingly made Dina give into his request as she sighed and thought at least he was actually going to go now. And as much as she was acting, it wouldn't hurt for Dina to catch up on some pampering before she was weighed down with the responsibilities of motherhood.

Chapter Two: Lingering Thoughts. Back on the otherside of Pleasantview, Don sighed as he replaced the receiver and fell against the brick wall of his old apartment. He had tried to disguise his heartache over the phone but Don surmised that Dina saw - or heard, rather - straight through his act. Surely someone must know something of Nina's whereabouts, he thought to himself. But if not even Dina knew, then who would?

Reaching into the pocket of his blazer, Don flipped open his mobile phone and searched through his recently dialled numbers. He didn't have Brandi Broke's number stored in his memory, but he hoped it would be lurking somewhere, unlabelled, knowing Nina had used his phone once or twice when they were together. Upon seeing Nina's old number, he wondered whether she had changed it. Trying not to let himself get too down again, Don figured he had found a familiar looking call and punched in the numbers on his receiver (for his mobile phone had no actual credit).

*ring* *ring*
Don held his breath and prayed Brandi was in, he was needed back at the hospital before six. In fact, he'd been putting in so many shifts in order to keep up with the rent that he hadn't had the time to tidy up...
*ring* *ring*
But then again, housework had never really been his strong suite... fatherhood, now that was a different matter. Don had just gotten acquainted with the idea of becoming a father when...
*ring* *ring*
Feeling himself well up, Don was reminded of the other reason he had taken on so many shifts; the moment he stopped busying himself with pointless tasks...
*ring* *ring*
Why was it he cared so much about finding Nina? He knew full well Nina had made her feelings clear, and the rational part of himself wanted to respect her wishes... but the other part, it couldn't just ignore the fact that if this is how Don felt inside... how on earth must Nina be feeling?

"Oh, my God!" Nina roared with laughter as she held onto her sides.

"True story!" The bartender claimed. "Oh sure, if I believe that one then I'm as dumb as he was!" Nina betted, shaking her head and sighing with a smile. "You can look it up, Tom Ontario." The bartender pointed to nowhere inparticular as Nina suddenly stopped laughing and stuttered. "Did... did you just say Don Lothario?" She asked softly as she felt a chill, despite being in the baking hot sun. "No, Tom. Tom Ontario." He repeated, mixing up a drink and sliding it in Nina's direction. "Oh. Thanks." She said, her upbeat mood suddenly evaporating.

But it wasn't replaced with sadness at the thought of her ex-fiance. Instead she was angry that once again Don was spoiling her good times - and he wasn't even here! The whole reason Nina had gotten away was to try and get over what she considered to be the worst two weeks of her life. It wasn't that she didn't still love Don, in some way, but he was just a constant reminder of what they had once had but could now never have again. Scalding herslef for thinking about it for the millionth time, Nina downed her spicy, zingy tasting drink and asked for another one - which luckily came with another story that would soon have Nina's spirits lifted high again!

Chapter Three: ...Back For More. Finding time to relax these days was a welcome pace for Dina. Between sorting out her husband's hospital appointment (because he refused to) and preparing the nursery for her soon-to-be-born child Dina had not had anytime to rest. Even the night she had had planned to catch up on her reading (for some reason - probably to make her feel more of a housewife - she had joined a local book club) was botched by Alex coming home late, and making Dina worry, since it was her who had extended his curfew.
|
| |
Created: 09.10.2008 - Updated: 09.10.2008
And even this looked like a futile attempt at rest, as Dina spotted Don Lothario approaching her from the driveway of her house. "What are you doing here?" "Hi to you too!" Don chuckled at Dina's welcome.

Hoisting herself carefully out of the lawn chair, Dina plodded over to Don and tried to amend her seemingly harsh welcome. "I just mean, you said you were going to phone Brandi - I figured she would have told you where Nina was; she's not the most tactile person in the world when it comes to keeping a secret." Dina noted, this time to exhausted to be bothered about her harshness.
|
| |
Created: 09.10.2008 - Updated: 09.10.2008
"What makes you think she asked to keep it a secret?" Don replied, a little hurt still. "I'm just assuming. Did she tell you where Nina was?" Dina asked. "...Not exactly." Don tiptoed as Dina rolled her eyes. "But she said she'd tell her I phoned." Don substituted with a smile, trying to prove to Dina he was fine with this, even though secretly wasn't.
|
| |
Created: 09.10.2008 - Updated: 09.10.2008
"Surely that proves she didn't specifically request information of her whereabouts to be kept a secret... from me at least." Don stated eagerly, trying to prove Dina's theory was wrong. "Okay. So getting back to my original question - what are you doing here?" Dina reiterated, a little perturbed at Don's sly accusation that he may not have been requested by Nina to be left out of the loop on her whereabouts, but that Dina most probably was.
|

"I came to apologise for shouting at you, you were only trying to help. I thought it would be more sincere of me to do it in person before I went back to work. And also just to see how you were; when's the baby due?" Don confessed with a smile as Dina suddenly forgot her grudge against Nina and warmed to her old friend genuinely showing interest in her life. Dina felt so few people did these days!

"Next week. I'm fine and everything's planned; got my overnight suitcase packed just incase I have to stay - at Mortimer's request of course!" Dina added with a knowing grin. "Ah, that's right, this'll be his third trip to the maternity ward. Boy, he's still going strong for a man his age!" Don complimented as Dina tried hard to bite her tongue but figured with Don working at the hospital he might run into Mortimer later. "So he'd have you believe! The truth is he actually has an appointment with a cardiologist today."
|
| |
Created: 09.10.2008 - Updated: 09.10.2008
"Routine?" Don enquired. "Not exactly. He crashed the car last week and only later did he inform me it was because he was having trouble breathing and his chest felt tight." Dina revealed as Don looked concerned. "How has he felt since then?" "Fine, he says. I'm not so sure; hence the trip today."
|

"Well let me know which doctor he's seeing before I leave, I might be able to get him bumped up the list to avoid waiting." Don offered. "That would be perfect, he doesn't want to hang around there any longer than he has to!" Dina joked as Don clenched his teeth. "I can't guarantee anything! The place is hideously understaffed at the moment. I mean, I know I need the money, but the amount of shift's I've been put on is ridiculous. And Ed leaves next week; God help me that week!" Don laughed as Dina jumped inside at hearing Ed's name.

"Leaving? Oh, is he being promoted?" Dina tried to casually enquire, though by Don's tone it sounded as if he meant Ed was leaving the Sim City General Hospital altogether. It had been over two months since her last (and what she promised herself was her final) tryst with Ed. Since then she had not heard much about him except that his house was being remodeled. It dawned on Dina perhaps he was preparing to sell up and move away.

"Over me?! I should think not!" Don laughed at his own joke as Dina gave him a pity laugh and stared, as if yelling at him to finish answering her question. "He's actually just staying in the same job but at a different hospital - he's having to move though, gonna be giving him a kinda big send off next week." Don said as Dina felt a sadness lurking deep down inside. "Oh. Well, tell him I said bye." She muttered glumly, forgetting for a moment Don knew not of their meetings.

"I didn't know you and him knew each other that well." Don gestured as Dina felt flush and tried to act casual. "Not well at all. Only met the once, twice maybe. I just remember you said he was a good friend of yours, and also his brother was engaged to Nina's best friend Brandi so that's how I know him... also." Dina pursed her lips together as she realised she had began to babble. "You know Shaun's not actually his brother; they just share the same last name!" Don revealed a little bit of trivia to Dina, who really could care less. She wanted to move on from this topic, it was causing her to have thoughts she didn't wish to be having again.
|

"See, I didn't even know that. That's how little I knew him." Dina said as casually as she could, adding a little laugh before she haphazardly changed the subject. "Shouldn't you be getting off to work, you have to put in that word with Mortimer's cardiologist remember?"
|

Created: 09.10.2008 - Updated: 09.10.2008
"Right! Well, I'll just go to your bathroom, if you don't mind, whilst you go find out what his doctor's actually called, because it'll help greatly!" Don smiled as Dina pointed him in the right direction and then went into the kitchen, wondering what to do with herself whilst Mortimer attended his appointment. Relaxation and pampering suddenly seemed to be the furthest things from her mind...

Chapter Four: I'm Out! It was only two simple words in a text message, but Alex felt as if so much more had gone unsaid along with them. It was as if they shared some sort of psychic connection, because any fears or worries he might have had about his father's ill health were immediately banished when David sent him a message back asking him to come over as soon as possible to 'celebrate'... and Alex could only wonder with hope what went unsaid in that message!

As Alex rushed down the stairs, he was surprised but pleased to see Don Lothario in his house. Don greeted Alex with a smile that made Alex feel welcome. It seemed like only a few months ago Alex had surprised himself by telling Don about his feelings for other boys. Alex smiled thinking about how much had changed since then...

Created: 09.10.2008 - Updated: 09.10.2008
"So how've things been?" Don enquired. "Um, you know... same old, same old!" Alex bluffed as he aimed the question back at Don. 'What happened to changing', Alex's inner conscience taunted him, 'You haven't changed at all'.

"No complaints... well, that's not strictly true. I could ask that I don't get stuck with a short turnover three weeks in a row. But I suppose if I want to eat it has to be done!" Don replied. "So like, what, are you on call now or something?!" Alex asked. "My job isn't that exciting, unfortunately. But it does involve a lot of sitting around!"
|

"Ha, well they'd better be paying you decent money cos I know how good you are at that." Alex blurted out before he had the chance to silence himself... however, Alex's inner conscience revelled in that remark, applauding Alex for letting go and not analysing and dissecting every sentence he planned to speak, which is what Alex usually did. "Ouch!" Don silently laughed and acted as if he'd had the wind knocked out of him. "I stepped right into that one, didn't I?!" "I didn't mean that to sound so..." Alex tried to apologise.

"Alex, it's fine, you know you can joke around with me. You've been hanging out with your dad too much." "Hardly!" Alex gasped, a little insulted for some reason. "Well if you do ever want to do anything on a weekend, I know I'd like to hang out with you sometime soon, it's been too long. You still bowl?" Don asked, realising how much he'd missed having a big family around. "Not so much anymore, but I've been getting up some other things." Alex tiptoed around the idea of coming out to Don for a moment. Could he? How would he? "Well you've got my mobile number, don't be afraid to use it!" Don offered as he began to walk away.

It was now or never, Alex saw... and he wanted it to be now. "I've been dating a boy named David."

Alex's tongue felt numb and for a moment he swore he was floating above his own body, looking down at himself... and thinking what and idiot he was. But that Alex could go jump in front of a bus for all Alex cared. He'd done it now, and he was damn proud! Don turned around slowly, and for a while, his mouth just... quivered. Before finally, as naturally as he could, he simply said, "Oh."

"I guess I should say thanks, really. If it hadn't been for you, I can't say for certain whether I'd be where I am right now." Alex confessed. "And... where are you now?" Don wondered, as Alex thought for a while how best to put where he was into words. "I'm happy... I'm gay, even!" Alex chuckled to himself.

Don was overcome with admiration, "I am really proud of you," He said. It was difficult to think back to the time when Don knew Alex as the shy little boy he would catch fleeting glimpses of when he visited Cassandra; he would usually have his head buried in a book or be perched on his knees on the stool at the piano writing music. Thinking of Alex growing up suddenly made Don's heart ache at what he had missed out on - what he may never have the chance to experience again with his one true love.

Perhaps using his psychic connection, Alex sensed he couldn't let Don leave without saying something. "Don... I'm really sorry, about your baby. I hope that you and Nina can work things out cos, even though my sister would disown me for saying it, you two are really good together."

"Thank you, Alex. I think so too..." Don thought best to leave it at that, despite him wanting to add on that maybe Alex would do better to tell that to Nina... wherever she was right now.

Chapter Five: Family Manners. As Don went upstairs to the bathroom, Alex took a deep breath and used his little moral boost to help him confront his dad about going over to see David. It was possible now that even his aging father could tell how much time he was spending with his secret boyfriend, so he was adamant he had to make it seem as casual as possible. "See you later, dad, I'm off 'round to David's." Alex waved, and as he was just about to leave Mortimer held up his hand.

"Whoa, hold on! This is not how that conversation is supposed to go." Mortimer started as Alex rolled his eyes at his father's wagging finger. "I thought I brought my son up better than that." Mortimer sighed as Alex tried again. "May I go to David's house, please?" He asked politely. "This David, is he a school-friend?" Mortimer asked as Alex begrudgingly divulged details about his paramour.

"I've told you already, he doesn't go to my school." Alex said sketchly. "I'm a little perplexed as to what it is you two have in common if he doesn't share your study interests. Why exactly do you spend so much time with him?" Mortimer's direct question sent Alex's heartbeat racing. Why had he found it so easy to come out to Don just a few seconds ago yet for his own father it practically struck the fear of God into him? Maybe, Alex thought, he had just answered his own question.

Witnessing her step-son struggle, Dina decided to cut Alex some slack and intervene. "Oh Morty, just let the boy have some fun!" "I'm all for having fun, my dear; but it is best enjoyed within the boundaries of school. I mean, that's where Alex used to find his fun." Mortimer reminisced as Dina tried to remind him that Alex was turning into a Young Adult and was far from just a naive little kid.

"You said it yourself, you brought up Alexander better than anyone else ever could. So shouldn't you trust that whatever life may throw at him he's going to deal with it responsibly and maturely?" Dina offered, trying to match her husband's eloquence with vocabulary!

As Mortimer brought his hand to his heart, Dina's look of worry (from fear he was about to have another heart attack) turned into one of pride. "I can't wait to raise our little one together if those are the pearls of wisdom you have hidden inside you." Mortimer sighed with adoration as Alex impatiently tapped his foot, caring very little about his father's love life and rather more concerned about his own!

"So can I go?" He directed at Dina. "Have you done all your homework?" She asked as Alex's eyes suddenly grew wide and his mouth lay open in shock.

"I'm kidding! You can go already." Alex hissed a 'yes' through his teeth as he rushed off, leaving Dina smiling and feeling humble at her growing motherly instincts.

Making sure Alex had left the room, Mortimer's tone of voice drastically changed as he gestured at Dina. "I can't believe I almost gave up the opportunity for some alone-time with you. What's say we relax together in the hot-tub before seeing where the evening takes us?" Mortimer suggested with one eyebrow raised. Dina almost burst out laughing, she had never been able to take Mortimer's come-to-bed face seriously. Despite feeling close to him in a family manner, Dina was still unable to feel love for him. Thankfully, a rather important excuse was at her disposal.

"Don't you have a doctor's appointment to be heading off to?" She asked, knowing full well he did. "I've left it too late, I'll never get there on time with a taxi. I'll get all the way there only to be given another appointment. I can easily just not go and wait for that to come in the mail!" Mortimer simply said, thinking that would be the end of it.

"Not a chance, mister! Alex faced up to his responsibilities, the least you can do is give him the respect of practicing what you preach." Dina put in a rather poetic manner as her defence to Mortimer's 'can't catch a taxi' claim walked onto the patio. "Don, could you take Mortimer with you on your way to work? It's so helpful that you happened to be here and you just coincidentally happen to be going to the same place!" Dina realised, thinking it couldn't have gone better if she had planned it herself!

"Um, okay. But I have to set off in like, five minutes." Don reasoned with some confusion as to what had happened during his toilet trip!

"We won't need it, he's ready now." Dina said, pleased with herself. "Dina, do you mind informing every Tom, Dick and Harry with my personal business?" Mortimer asked, disturbed to think that Don knew of his ailing condition.

"Don is hardly anyone, Morty, he's practically family." Dina reasoned. "Fortunately not though, eh?!" Mortimer rather snootily added as Don frowned. "Stood right here." He stoically declared. Dina tried to cutesy up to Mortimer as she brushed her fingertips against his beard. "Besides, the sooner you get your appointment done, the sooner you can come back to me and this big, ol' empty house!" Mortimer went in to kiss his wife but Dina rather teasingly pulled back with a grin. "See you soon?" "You won't even notice I'm gone!" Mortimer promised as he rushed Don toward the driveway. "I let Ed know you said goodbye when I see him." Don shouted back to Dina, thinking nothing off it. But little did he know the motions that one sentence were to set in place.

Epilogue: The Uninvited. Like the thumping of a clock pendulum, Dina's baby seemed to remind her that this wasn't just some random person Don was talking about, this was its father, its true father. And despite what she had vowed, Dina owed him so much more than a goodbye passed on from a friend. Not even the fact he knew nothing of his own child's existence could comfort Dina. This was not only for Ed's piece of mind, but for hers as well. Quite frankly, she thought, her future sanity, trapped in a loveless marriage and bringing up Ed's baby as Mortimer's, depended on knowing for sure she was doing the right thing for everybody involved - even if they didn't know it!

And what had happened to Ed Wilson since Dina had last seen him? She knew of his home remodeling; the rather modest two bedroom town house becoming something of a modern architectural feat! An achievement overseen by Shaun Wilson no doubt, even though he had left this home to move in with his fiance Brandi Broke.

But Dina knew nothing of the changes Ed had made to his personal life: his New Year's resolution to lose weight, to do better in his job, and to work towards getting away from the town he had once felt happy to call his home, but now only filled him with great sadness at the thought of his impossible love.

As he knelt down at an empty box, packing away his life once again with the hopes of settling down somewhere he could finally find true love - and not just another ultimately unfulfilling affair (the first being the reason he had left England with Shaun in the first place; talk about history repeating itself, he thought), Ed was surprised to hear a knocking sound at his front door.

|
 |
Created: 09.10.2008 Updated: 09.10.2008
"I'd hardly say you were neglecting her! If anything it seems like the reason you two broke up was because you were being too over-bearing. And now you want to go running after her? It's clear what she's doing; she's trying to remove all traces of you from her life, and get as far away as possible. If you go and find her right now you'll only risk damaging things even more." Dina said in a matter-of-fact tone. She listened to the receiver for any signs her harsh rant had gotten through to Don and finally, after a few seconds, he sighed.

 |
Created: 09.10.2008 Updated: 09.10.2008

 |

Created: 09.10.2008 Updated: 09.10.2008
