Hi all! I'd like to share one of my favorite twists on a familiar favorite - minty chocolate chip cookies. I think they're great any time of year but they sure do make a nice holiday treat.

Start with a favorite chocolate chip recipe. You can find them on any recipe website, the back of chocolate chip bags, or maybe you've got a friend or relative who's got a few favorites.

After mixing all the ingredients for the chocolate chip cookies, add in some crushed peppermint candies. You can use candy canes or those small, round red and white peppermint candies.

If you haven't gorged yourself on the cookie dough, drop balls of cookie dough onto a greased cookie sheet by the tablespoon. Press them gently with the back of a spoon or the bottom of a heavy jar.

Place them in the oven, and bake according to the cookie recipe you're using.

Mm..smells yummy!

Who waits for freshly baked ovens to cool before eating? I sure don't!
