I'm Alison,and I'm going to show you how to make an awesome Red Roast Pork in Soy Sauce! This is fairly easy dish to make ,but it does take some time.The good things happen to those who wait! As you can tell my the name,I love chinese food! Now for the important stuff:
450g/1 lb of lean pork fillets 6 table spoons of dark soy sauce 2 table spoons of dry sherry 1 table spoon of Chinese five-spice powder 2 garlic cloves,crushed 2 table spoons of finely chopped fresh root ginger 1 large red peppee 1 large yellow pepper 1 large orange pepper 4 table spoons of caster sugar 2 table spoons of wine vinegar
TO GARNISH: Spring onions,shredded Handful of fresh chives
This dish should take about 1 hours and 15 minutes to prepare and 1 hour and 15 minutes to cook.

First,trim away any excess fat and silver skin from the pork and place in a large,shallow dish.
(Please be careful cutting with knives!)

Then,mix the soy sauce,sherry,Chinese five-spice powder,garlic and ginger together in a bowl.Spoon the mixture over the pork,turning it into a coat,cover and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until required.

Drain the pork,reserving the marinade.Place tuhe pork on a roasting rack over a roasting tin.Cook in a preheated oven, 190 C/375 F/Gas Mark 5,basting occasionally with the marinade,for 1 hour or until cooked through.
(Please be extra careful with the oven! Burning yourself on ovens really does hurt!)

Meanwhile,halve and deseed the red,yellow and orange peppers.Cut each pepper half into 3 equal pieces.Arrange them on a baking tray and bake alongside the pork for the last 30 minutes of the cooking time.

Next,place the sugar and vinegar in a saucepan and heat gently until the sugar dissolves.Bring to the boil and simmer for 3-4 minutes until syrupy.

After that,when the pork is cooked,remove it from the oven and brush with the sugar syrup,leave for about 5 minutes.

Then,slice and arrange on a serving platter with the peppers,garnished with the spring onions and chives.Then serve.
