If you have dined out, you know the price of teeny tiny slice of cheesecake is six, five bucks. That is a worst crime than the high price of a gallon of gas or a pound of beef. Darn greedy corporations. It is easy to make your own for about lthe price of one slice and is very easy to do. This New York Style Cheesecake will make your family and friends sit up and take notice. They will declare you a Master Chefof Culinary Delights, singing your praises joyfully to the world. I know, because I made one last weekend and the noisy din created by family and friends made it difficult to take a nap.

I came out here to the woods to lok for a peach tree. Fresh peaches are best. Mrs, Crumpolebotton told me there was not a peach tree in all of Sim Nation. They have to be imported. After a wide search, I think the ole biddy is right. Speacking of fresh, what you do not need is one of those "awful" box mixes or a no bake mix. They are just a bunch of chemicals your body does not need. They may be fine for the "great unwashed masses", but for the likes of you and I who have more discriminating taste, only the real thing will do. I, and I am sure you also, demand quality in cheesecake.

Sometimes i watch the Yummy channel> Always amazes me that they have the right pan to make everything. Sure you can make cheesecake in a deep dish pie tin, or an oblong pan, but where is the fun in that. What you need is a spring form pan, you can remove the sides. Sheer sim fun. If you do not have one, now is not the time to be a cheapskate. They do not cost very much and you must run out and buy one. And after baking the cheesecake, you remove the sides and have a cheese cake right on a serving platter. How cool is that!

In Sim Land, all one has to do when they need ingredients is to pick up the phone and call this place called delivery and they bring everything over in a blue truck, really fast. None of this "We'll be there sometime between eight and five on Tuesday"1 I am now telling the lady on the other end just what I need to make "Just Peachy" Cheesecake. Send me: 4 8 ounce pagages of cream cheese( any brand will do) 2 cups of sugar 1 cup of sour cream 4 eggs 2 teaspoons of vannilla 1 heaping tablespoon of flour
The crust 1/2 cup of graham cracker crumbs 2 tablespoons of sugar five ounces of melted butter
"Just Peach" topping
4 large ripe, juicy peaches (two cups) 1/2 cup Sangria red wine 1/4 cup of sugar a generous sprinkling of cinnamon 1/4 cup water 1 heaping teaspoon of corn starch

Next step is a choice. If you like a crispy crust, place pan in sa pre-heated 350 degree oven for ten minutes. If you like a softer crust, just set the pan to the side. That is what I do as I lke a softer crust. Your choice.

While waiting for the cream cheese to come to room temperature, I thought I would continue to work on my Sim3 Album for the Harvest Cookbook 2010. Oh, you do not have the Sims 3 yet! Too bad as it is great game. We have had it in Sim Nation for quite some time. EA must like us Sims a lot more than real people. I love the game and i hope you get it sometime in the next century (lol). I think the cream cheese should be at room temp by now, so lets get to it.

In a large bowl, place the cream cheese and the sugar, cream together, then add the eggs, one at a time, scraping down the sides after each addition (and just in case, take the eggs out of the shell. The shells do NOT go in the batter) Add the vanilla and the sour cream. Blend well, making sure you have no lumps. Add the four last and mix in well.

I strongly suggest you use your trusty electric mixer for this. Doing it by hand like I am gives you nothing but a sore arm for two weeks! Next pur the batter into the springform pan. Spread evenly.

Place in a pre=heated 350 degree oven for 50 minutes. Then do not open the oven door, but turn the oven off and let it fiish baking in the cooling heat of the oven. This prevents the dreaded cheesecake crack. Everyone knows how embarassing it is to show your crack!

While the cheesecake is baking make the topping. Bring the wine and sugar to a boil, making sure the sugar disolves. Add the peaches and cook until tender. Add the cornstarch to the water and mix well, then pour into peaches and stir until thickend. Let cool completly. When you take the cheesecake out of the overn, run a knife around the edges and then remove the sides. When the cheesecake is cool add the topping over the top. Keep refrigerated.

Thanks for stopping by and cooking with me. I do have to warn you, here in SimLand they have a Silly Sims Ole Wives tale that eating cheesecake can cause you to have twins. Silly, I know, but i am required by law to tell you to keep myself form getting sued. The number of servings in this recipe is anywhere from one to sixteen, just depends how you cut the cheese(cake). Not sure how many calories, as I have never seen one and do not know how to count them. Probably only one or two. One bite and you will not care anyway. Do enjoy the "Just Peachy" Cheesecake and the addiction to your Sims2 game!
