Sophie's head fell to the side and quickly snapped back. It was early in the morning and she was still perched at the keyboard. A jumble of letters and numbers littered the screen, but none of them formed any words. Sophie's head began to lull again to one side, but with this snap, her eyes fluttered open.

She glanced at the clock and blinked, trying to shake the fog that had come to rest inside her head. "It can't be six o'clock," she thought desperately. "I have nothing written and I've been up all night." Sophie stood up and stretched her tired muscles; she meandered her way into the kitchen and gasped when she saw Jason sitting at the table.

"What are you doing here," she asked hoarsely, while running her hands through her hair.
"I'm sorry," Jason said, scrambling to his feet. "I came over to surprise Katie with breakfast; I hope I didn't wake you."
"No, you didn't wake me," Sophie sighed. "My utter lack of creativity kept me from sleeping."
"Still have a bad case of writer's block," Jason said sympathetically.

"I'm beginning to think it is worse then just writer's block," Sophie muttered, starring into Jason's clear, blue eyes. "I'm worried I never had any real talent and I've been lied to all these years."
"You know that isn't true," Jason said. "I've read some of your work and it is amazing."
"You've read some of my pieces," Sophie asked.
"Yeah, I hope you don't mind," Jason said guiltily. "One of your notebooks got left on the table and I happened to grab it one night, while I was waiting for Katie to come home."
"Of course, I don't mind," Sophie said strangely touched. "I'm really glad you enjoyed reading through it."

"I did, I especially loved the story about the female prison guard that fell in love with one of her prisoners. I usually don't like sappy love stories, but you wrote it with such emotion and humor, I couldn't put it down."
"Really," Sophie said shocked, "I'm thrilled that you had such a great time reading my work."
"Well, if you ever need someone to bounce story ideas off of, I'd be happy to help," Jason said, patting Sophie's hand.

Sophie's hand was instantly on fire, she could feel small sparks leaping from his skin to hers. "Thanks for the offer," she mumbled, jerking her hand away. "Well, I had better go and take a quick shower."
"Yeah, I should get to work, putting the finishing touches on breakfast," Jason said, starring at the spot where Sophie's hand had been. "I suppose I'll see you later tonight."
"I'm sure," Sophie replied, with her back towards him. "Have a good day."
"You, too."

Sophie locked herself in her bedroom for the rest of the morning, until she heard the front door slam shut. Once she knew Katie and Jason were gone, she ventured into the living room. What was wrong with her, she kept muttering, as she paced the floor? How could she have feelings for her sister's boyfriend?
"I'm not that kind of person," she thought to herself. "I just imagined the sparks; there is nothing between Jason and me. We are friends and that is all."

She sat down at her desk and took a deep breathe in and slowly let it out, then placed her hands on the keyboard. Sophie couldn't type, though. Every time she closed her eyes to find the words to start a new sentence, she saw Jason, smiling at her. "He has a gorgeous smile," she thought. "I never truly appreciated it, until now."
"STOP," she shouted into her empty bedroom. "I can't think like that."

Sophie fixed her eyes on the blank computer screen and forced her mind to concentrate on the task at hand. She needed to write an article for her portfolio, she needed to find a job. Her fingers started to press keys and soon words began to appear on the screen...

He bent his dark head and softly kissed the fair maiden's lips. Her eyes fluttered open and she smiled up at him. "Oh Princess Sophie, I have saved you from the evil enchantress' curse. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"
"Of course Prince Jason, I would love to be your bride."

Sophie starred at the screen and softly cried; she was falling in love with her sister's boyfriend. She couldn't help herself, he was a wonderful man and they shared so many of the same interests. She couldn't tell anyone, though; she didn't wait to hurt Katie or herself. (Sophie knew no man would ever choose her over her perfect sister.) "I just have to keep my feelings secret," she vowed. "Jason can never know how I truly feel about him."
