This is a new pod that allows players with the "Open for Business" expansion pack to see their businesses and achievements to-date in their "Open for Business" game.
Of course, there will always be the player who will cheat the game and increase their businesses achievements, we can't check against that. But this is an opportunity for the player to see their progression with the game.
How to get a "My Businesses" pod on your MySim page:
- Register "Open For Business" using your established EA account
- Once registered, you will see the "My Businesses" pod on your MySim page. It will not have anything in it
- Start "Open For Business" and play the game!
- Upload a lot with a business on it
- Return to TheSims2.com
- Visit your MySim page's "My Businesses" pod and refresh the page (you may need to log out and log back in to see this pod. Or, if that doesn't work, click on the "Organize pods, column, order" link in the manage your MySim page)
- You should now see "Perks Collected to Date" and "Highest Rank Achievement", plus a link to "View All My Businesses"
Perks Collected to Date - Displays all of the perks (rewards) the player has received while playing "Open for Business". Once you've gained them, you will always have them.
Highest Rank Achievement - Displays the highest rank the player has achieved while playing "Open for Business". Once rank has been gained, the highest rank will always be displayed.
Things you should know:
- If the business 'Owner' is on a lot, it will not be possible to upload the lot. Take the owner off the lot to upload.
- Business lots can still be culled. If it doesn't meet the criteria of staying in the exchange, it will disappear. Read more about content removal from the exchange.
- Downloading a lot with a business on it, will not include any of the business information with it. Information such as profit, employees, rank, etc. The business aspects of the lot will need to be rebuilt once downloaded!
