The Sims 2 Mobile Connected Edition Frequently Asked Questions

Q:What are the connected features of The Sims 2 Mobile?
A:With The Sims 2 Mobile Connected Edition, you'll be able to choose your player Sim from among tens of thousands of Sims available on the Sims Exchange. You can do this from the Download-a-Sim options within the game itself, or by browsing the Sims exchange on the Sims 2 website and selecting a compatible Sim to add as your "On-Deck Sim". But that's not all - you'll also be able to track your stats from your Mobile MySim Page right on The Sims 2 website, and you'll even be able to view all the memories you've generated in the game!.

Q:Can I use the connected features of The Sims 2 Mobile?
A: This depends on both the phone you're using, and the carrier and data-plan you've selected as well. The Sims 2 Mobile Connected Edition typically runs on higher-end phones, and requires a data connection in order to access all the connected features of the game. If you have an older hand-set, or if you don't have internet access on your phone, then you might want to play one of the unconnected versions of the game that we offer instead of the Connected Edition. Please be aware that additional data-charges may apply when playing the Connected Edition, depending on your carrier and data-plan.

Q:How can I purchase The Sims 2 Mobile?
A: Right now, The Sims 2 Mobile can only be purchased through selected carriers. Please check with your cell-phone provider to see whether or not The Sims 2 Mobile is available.

Q:Do I need the PC version of The Sims 2 to play the mobile version?
A: Absolutely not. All versions of The Sims 2 Mobile are meant to stand on their own. However, Connected Edition players who own the PC version of the game have the added luxury of being able to create custom Sims on their PC, upload them to our Sims Exchange, and then download them for use in the game! The rest of our Connected players will just have to make do with choosing from the many, many thousands of Sims available for download on their phones via our Sims Exchange.

Q:Do I need to be registered to use the connected features of The Sims 2 Mobile?
A:If you have purchased the Connected Edition, and you know you won't be using any of the Web Features found in the game, then you're all set! But you're missing out on some of the coolest features to be found in any cell phone game if you don't register, so we strongly recommend that you take the time to register.
