You know, it's been far, far too long since I've posted here.
I don't know how long the poll on the front page has been here (yes, I don't come on that often, anymore), but I'm miffed that LiveJournal isn't one of the choices. Especially since that's what I've used.
In Sim news, I took a break from playing for a while, doing other stuff. I've played a bit of SimCity 4 recently. I'd forgotten how much fun it is.
I've got a couple of new neighborhoods going, with only a couple of families in each. One neighborhood has a family with one person in it, and a family of eight. They're the only two families in the neighborhood, but I don't think they've met yet.
The family of eight started with 4 teenaged boys. I family funded them, so that they could get into a house that would fit them, but then everyone was starting at the lowest level jobs, so they couldn't really afford it at first. I got all the teenagers jobs, but couldn't keep everyone's fun level up enough that they'd actually do their homework. So, by Friday, they were all failing, and so got fired by their jobs. Which gave me the weekend to keep them happy, and get their homework done.
What worried me, was that I couldn't get the one child to do his homework, either, and I was starting to get notices that the social worker might start to take an interest.
With all the homework done over the weekend, they all went to school happily on Monday, and came home with Ds. So maybe in a day or two I'll see about getting them into private school, for the remainder of their short teenage days.
By this time, the parents had a couple of raises, and so they could afford to pay the bills, and make sure there were enough beds for everyone, etc.
Another neighborhood, where I'm playing the Littles I mentioned in a previous blog. Currently there are three families there. The original on, which is down to the elderly mother, youngest daughter (now a teen), ghosts of the father, and teenage brother, dog, and cat.
The older daughter has married her high school sweetheart (aged with SimPE, but apparently not quite correctly, as he still *looks* like a teenager (making some funny pictures, as he's several inches shorter, but thinks he's still he height). They have a toddler, and one more on the way.
The other family in that neighborhood is one I made, and dressed everyone in Santa outfits. Did you know there's outfits for toddlers, children, adults, and elders, but none for teens? At least the teens can still where the Santa hats. ;-)
Both parents in that family are family Sims, so they keep having babies.
